Cancellation guide

How to Cancel Disney+

Identify whether Disney+ or a partner bills you, cancel in the right account, and verify the end date.

How to cancel Disney+: the quick answer

If Disney+ bills you directly, open your Disney+ account in a computer or mobile browser, select the subscription, choose Cancel Subscription, and complete the cancellation. If a partner bills you, manage the subscription with that partner instead.

Before you cancel Disney+

Check the subscription email, next payment date, and merchant on the statement. Watching on an Apple, Android, Amazon, Fetch, Roku, or Telstra device does not by itself identify the biller. Disney+'s current Australian billing-partnership guide is the useful routing source.

Cancelling the subscription does not delete the Disney+ account or the related MyDisney account used across other Disney services. Those are separate account-data actions.

SubsCraft tip: Record the billing partner and final streaming date together, because the playback device may have no control over renewal.

Cancel Disney+ step by step

  1. Use a computer or mobile browser to open your Disney+ account.
  2. Select your Profile, then Account.
  3. Under Subscription, select the Disney+ subscription.
  4. Select Cancel Subscription.
  5. Share a reason if prompted and complete the cancellation; the survey is optional.

Disney+ says direct cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, promotional offer, or free trial.

If another company bills Disney+

Use the partner recorded in the subscription or statement:

  • Amazon: open Amazon Memberships and Subscriptions and cancel the Disney+ entry.
  • Existing Apple billing: use Apple Subscriptions.
  • Existing Google billing: use Google Play subscriptions.
  • Fetch or Telstra: manage it with that provider; a Fetch box supplied by a phone or internet company may require that provider's support.
  • Roku in Australia: Disney+'s current guidance says the subscription is managed or cancelled directly through Disney+, so do not assume Roku owns renewal.

Partner offers change. The partner's own account and confirmation page control its cancellation, access, and refund outcome.

What happens after Disney+ cancellation

For direct billing, access continues until the end of the current billing period, promotion, or free trial, and future Disney+ renewal stops. Disney+ does not refund or credit a partially used payment period. A third-party subscription follows that partner's access and refund rules.

The Disney+ and MyDisney accounts remain after subscription cancellation. If the goal is only to stop renewal, do not enter the separate account-deletion flow.

Why the Disney+ cancel option may be missing

  • A partner bills the subscription: use Amazon, Apple, Google, Fetch, Telstra, or the provider shown on the statement.
  • Wrong Disney+ email: the current account does not contain the paid subscription.
  • The subscription is already ending: the account shows an end date instead of another renewal.
  • The flow was not completed: return to Account and finish after choosing Cancel Subscription.

How to confirm Disney+ cancellation

For direct billing, return to your Disney+ account and look for an end date with no future renewal, then save the confirmation email or page. For partner billing, verify the same result in the partner account. A Disney+ login that still works before the end date is not evidence that renewal remains active.

Frequently asked questions about cancelling Disney+

Does cancelling delete my Disney+ or MyDisney account? No. Disney+ identifies subscription cancellation and account deletion as separate actions.

Will Disney+ refund the unused days? Direct Disney+ billing is not refunded or credited for a partially used payment period. Partner refund rules may differ.

Should I cancel through the device I watch on? Only if that device's company is the recorded biller. Follow the subscription details or statement, not the playback device.
