If Apple or Google Play bills YouTube Premium
If you joined from the YouTube iOS app and Apple bills the membership, use Apple Subscriptions with the Apple Account on the receipt. Apple also authorises and decides refunds for Apple Store purchases.
If YouTube shows Google Play billing, follow the Google Play subscription cancellation steps. Use the Google Account that owns the Play subscription. The device used to watch YouTube does not override the biller recorded in membership details.
What happens after YouTube Premium cancellation
For a normal cancellation, automatic renewal turns off and Premium benefits continue until the end of the current billing period. YouTube does not refund the unused time between cancellation and that date. If a separate refund request is approved, Premium access is removed when the refund is processed.
